B&W's Newest And Best Speakers
Dazzle The Ear With Diamonds

800D Pix
B&W 800D

803D Pix
B&W 803D

The six top-end models in the new 800 Series employ a tweeter fabricated of diamond. The company's extensive listening tests revealed that it affects numerous performance aspects, but the most obvious sonic benefit is astounding transparency in the treble and midrange bands. The result is enhanced realism.

All models in the new 800 Series, including the ones with diamond tweeters and those employing the alloy domes developed for B&W's acclaimed Signature speakers, feature a mechanical tweeter design that yields better damping and more complete isolation from main enclosure vibration.

Dramatically improved woofer cones enhance the performance of all three-way units. B&W is now utilizing Rohacell, a light but highly rigid foam material that it sandwiches between outer layers of carbon fiber.

A third important 800 Series transformation lies in the area of crossover technology. The crossover that feeds the tweeter section in every new 800 Series speaker features a first order design and affords seamless transitions from middle to high frequencies. This benefit is so pronounced that, even without related improvements, it would have justified the introduction of a new loudspeaker range.

When you add to all this the proven technologies of curved Matrix™ cabinets, the Marlan® sphere/tube midrange enclosure, Nautilus™ tube-loaded tweeters, Flowport™ and vibration isolation, you have a range of speakers that epitomises B&W's mission: to create a speaker that neither adds nor takes anything away from the music - the perfect loudspeaker
